Welcome to Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.

In general I have not much time to watch tv shows, but for a couple of years there is a show that has become one of the few that I constantly see: Grey's anatomy. It’s a show about the lives, romances, tragedies, etc.. of a group of surgeons working at a hospital in the city of Seattle in the United States. This tv show has already been several years, now its season number ten begins in September and I'm very exciting about this.

I like it because in each chapter every doctor has a different case that relates to their current problems and often these can be very funny and sometimes very sad. Also something that I like is how this show can actually shows the evolution of  its characters.

The name of the show is because the protagonist's name is Meredith Grey and all the history begins with her. Something special is that each chapter begins and ends with a voiceover of the main character that makes us understand more or less to treat the episode, this voice usually  talk abaute some topic related of medicine as Alzhaimer, some transplantation, or disease and chapter turns out to be a metaphor for this topic.

One of my favorite things about the series is that some of my friends also like, so each chapter is an opportunity to get together and share something good to eat while we see it, and then spend hours commenting on different adventures and tragedies shoulder these doctors than we love these years.

News!

The Guardian is a British newspaper very interesting to read, I research and found out some interesting information: that is published Monday to Saturday in the Berliner format, this is a special format where the pages are taller and wider than in normal newspapers. Also until 1959 was called The Manchester Guardian, reflecting its city of origin. The paper's readership is generally on the mainstream left of British political opinion: a MORI poll taken between April and June 2000 showed that 80% og "Guardian readers" were Labour PArty voters, which is a centre- left political party in the United Kingdom, and one of the two main British political along wit the Conservative Party.

The guardian is a very complete paper with information of all kinds, politics, sports, women, national, culture, travel, business, etc.. It also has an online format that allows readers around the world can access it and also to see some videos, photos and other interesting things.

The paper has also launched a dating website, Soulmates and is experimenting with new media, having previously offered a free twelve part weekly podcast series. This newspaper today is the only British national published in color, is also the first to be printed in the Berliner format.

A fun fact is the paper's nickname is "The Grauniad", this anagram played on the The Guardian's reputation for frequent typographical errors, such as misspelling its own name.

September has arrived!

Well, September .. the most awaited month of the year for some people . It’s the month of my birthday, parties, dinners, family reunions, etc.. Personally it’s a month that I enjoy so much because I can have a little vacation travel to see my family in La Serena. Also as my birthday is on September 14 I have the great opportunity to celebrate my birthday twice, once with my friends here in Santiago and then with my family there. In La Serena I stay in the house of my grandparents and my grandmother cooks the best food in the world. Also I have the opportunity to spend time with my cousins, my uncles, go to the beach, relax, read some book, etc.

Generally what we do with my family is go together,  maybe some camping or just be together at the home of an uncle and make a great roast and share all day, eating, laughing, taking “terremotos”, etc.

The idea is to spend a day outdoors where my younger cousins can play ball or elevate kites and have a good time. Then at night, me and my cousins go some party, we go to dance to some disco or visited the “fondas” of the city. Personally I prefer to go to any disco because I love to dance but I never learned how to dance “cueca”, so I prefer to go to other places, but I do believe that the “fondas” are very entertaining to go to eat and drink during the day with the family.

I'm so sorry world... I'm not that green

Well is really hard to think how green I am, 'cause I do feel that in this country is really hard to help this beautiful planet, there is no culture to recycle, If I say to my dad to not use light in day to save energy, he would say "But Carolina, energy is not expensive, beside we are not the real problem, think in industry". Daddy is an smart guy and I think he has the reason about the big problem, about how the State allow Industry to contaminate... About how the law protects big business. But I know, I have to talk about my, but is hard to remember when was the last time that I try to help the earth, that I choose to not use another paper sheet, or the last time that I used a reusable diaper... I think that we have to change little things every day.. One step at a time.. I mean, I try to use lights only when I need it...I try to separate plastic, paper and glass... Not use the car when your alone or better, take a bike ride... I really want a healthy world, and I wish that people deserve the world where they live, people that take care the earth. So to finish my thought, I'm gonna change myself first, then I will try to affect my family and my friends, I will try to permeate world with little steps and I don't know, maybe that is what world needs, a small piece of conscience

A little peace about me u.u

Hello everyone, I'ts really hard to start talking about me, I'm Carolina, I'm 21 years old, I study on this faculty and I just want to be happy with my little baby. I like the career we are studying, is not that hard and let me be with my baby without guilty. I live with my brother, my daddy lives with his girlfriend and my mum is in heaven taking care of us, my family is small so I don't have many things to tell about them...

I have a boyfriend, his name is Sebastian, he is different then me, he is quiet, shy and not much sociable, but with my baby he is all heart, my baby calls Brenda, she is so small and perfect, like her grandma who used to call Brenda to, she is not like me from the outside, but I thing she has my character, another important part in my life are my friends, they help me too much in this career and with my baby, the let me feel that we are more then two, they make me forget bad things in life.

I thing that I have many reasons to fight for change this weird world, so I'm gonna work on that, helping to make to this world, a good place to live. I wanna work on Sernam ('cause nothing is better then be a woman), one 'cause that moves my life is gender violence, so I think that we as woman have to raise our sons and daughters with love and respect, without allowing that they see any kind of violence, let them grow up without fear.
Well this is the last picture that I have with my Brenda, I hope you like her.
